Well I guess most of you have heard about the bad car accident my brother was involved in a couple of weekends ago. If not, here is the short of it....He and several of his friends were on their way home from Hooters when they had the wreck. The driver lost control and the truck spun and hit a tree. Chase was in the back seat of the extended cab truck where the tree hit. If Chase would have been a couple inches to the right, he wouldn't be with us right now! The tree hit Chase on his right side, he suffered from a very bad concusion, five broken ribs, a lacerated liver, punctured lung, and bruised bladder. He doesn't remember anything about the wreck, he didn't wake up until he was in the ER, I believe that is God's way of protecting him from having to relive that terrible night! Mom called me around 4 that morning to tell me to come to the ER, my heart sank to my feet immediately. The feeling of losing my brother was one of the worst feelings I have ever experienced. Being so close to losing someone whom you love so much can be a real eye opener of how fast life can be taken from us. Luckily Chase survived this accident and is at home on bed rest now. He still has a very long recovery ahead of him, but thank God he will be okay! If you don't tell your family or loved ones that you love them very often, you need to. God gives us each day as a gift and we need to embrace it and live it to the fullest. I hope each of you have had a wonderful holiday season and were able to enjoy it with family and friends! Please continue to remember Chase and my parents in your prayers!

Its Beginning to look a lot like Christmas :)

We are really enjoying this holiday season with Little Man....he really understands the whole "Santa" concept. He is so funny, I was afraid he was going to be scared of Santa, but he LOVES him. He is constantly talking about how he is watching him. Jamey and I were able to pull out the line " Santa is watching you and if you aren't good, he will come take all your toys away." It works almost every time!! He also loves to "talk to santa" on the phone.....santa is usually Paw Paw or Pop, they are pretty convincing. :) I wish I could freeze Blayne at the age he is now.....time is going by so fast! It makes me so sad that my baby isn't a baby anymore. He is turning into the sweetest little boy ever!!!!

This year has been full of excitement. Aunt Kate found out she was pregnant, Miss Allie Kate Hembree will be here in a couple of months and we can't wait!!!! I am absolutely dying to buy her a really girly outfit and a bow.....Auntie Regs is going to spoil her ROTTEN!! On another note, I am about to end my 7 1/2 year banking career to start Cosmetology school!! I am so excited about this, it has been my dream for quite some time, and I am so thankful that I am getting the chance to go pursue it. Thanks to my very supportive husband, who is letting me quit work to go after my dream! I love him so much, and am so grateful to him for everything he does for our family! The last thing is Alabama won yet another SEC title......those of you who know my husband, know that this alone has made his year!! It was played on his birthday, so that made it even more exciting for him. :)
     Well I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Take full advantage of the holiday season to tell those you love how much they mean to you! :)

TRICK OR TREAT........SMELL MY FEET :)

Hello!! I hope you all had a great Halloween, I know we did! It was so much fun. :) As most of you know, Jamey and I dressed up with Blayne. Jamey was Woody and I was Jesse from Toy Story. The look on Blayne's face when he seen us dressed up made it all worth it! He LOVED it....he called us Woody and Jesse all night....and would correct us if we called each other anything but that. It was precious. He got so much candy....it was ridiculous. He was on a sugar high for most of the night! He also got to go on his first hayride....he thought that was the best thing ever! He kept saying..."Guys, hey guys...we are on a hayride! This is so cool!!" So I think Blayne had a great weekend, for the most part. Here are a few pics of our night.

Happy Thursday everyone! It feels like the weekend will never get here.........longest week ever! I am such a procrastinator, as most of you know, so I am just now getting our Halloween costumes together!! Well thank goodness for Aunt Wynell, who is whipping up the final touches of our costumes! In times like these, I really wish I could sew. But seriously, I can't wait to see it all together...it is going to be so funny!! This will be the first year Jamey and I have got to dress up with little man. He is going to just love it!! I don't know who is loving it more, me or Blayne. :) I LOVE to dress up, but I haven't do so in years! Jamey and I are both enjoying this stage with Blayne.....we have an excuse to let the inner kid out!

Life is great right now. I can't even begin to count all our many blessings. I just thank God for everything he is doing in our lives! God is Good!

POTTY TRAINING 101

Okay so to be completely honest, I have been dreading the whole potty training process. So far it has been great! I may eat my words, but so far so good. We have only had a few accidents.... :(
He LOVES to wear his Spiderman and Cars underwear. His first accident he had was while he was wearing his Spidey undies. I had just asked him if he needed to pee pee and he told me no. So we sat down for dinner, he finished before Jamey and I, so he got up to go watch cartoons. A few minutes later he came over to me with the most pitiful look on his face, he had pee peed on Spiderman. He had huge crocodile tears in his eyes and starting saying " I sorry, I sorry, I have accident!" So I took him to the potty and let him finish using the bathroom. Well when we took off his underwear he looked at them with those same puppy dog eyes from earlier and said " I so sorry Spiderman, I not mean to pee pee on you!" It was so sweet and so funny all at the same time!! It was hard for me to keep a straight face! It honestly broke his heart that he had an accident on Spectacular Spiderman!! :) Not to mention he hated feeling wet afterwards too. We have managed to only have one or maybe two accidents a day. He is getting more relaxed with everyday that passes. Hopefully by the end of the year we will have a confident, potty trained little boy!! Everyone continue to say prayers that Grammy, Granna, and Mommy's sanity will stay with us!! :) On that note, a major THANK YOU to my mom and Sherri for helping me out! I know this part is stressful and crazy, but you have to admit we have had some great laughs!!

I will leave you with one last funny note. Blayne hates to poop on the potty, I think he believes the toilet is going to eat his butt or something. SO while at my house I went to extreme measures. He was peeing off the porch.....naked....when he decided that he needed to poop. He wanted to bring his frog potty to the porch instead of going inside....go figure. After much arguing and crying fits, I gave in. Jamey brought the potty to the porch. He sits down and attempts to poop, but got stage fright. Well our chocoalte lab, Ginger, came and sat down next to him. He sat there forever just patting his little hand on his knee and petting the dog....like it was COMPLETELY NORMAL to sit on the porch.....naked.....on a frog potty.......petting your dog!

Anniversary.........sick baby..... and tomatoes! :)

Well as you can see from the title of this blog I have lots to tell! First off mine and Jamey's anniversary was this past week. We celebrated three wonderful years! I can' t believe everything that has changed in the past three years. We have a wonderful son, I am going back to school, really too many things to even list. God blessed me with a wonderful husband! He takes care of our family and is the best father in the world! I love him so much and I thank god for him everyday!

Since our anniversary was in the middle of the week Jamey and I decided to celebrate on Saturday. We had planned on going to Outback for supper. So we called Jamey's aunt Karen to keep Blayne. He was going to spend the night.....swim.....play with the girls.......watch movies.....and explore in a new place!! WELL....we got finished eating and were on our way home when Ka Ka called and said little man was throwing up! Of course Mommy instinct set in and I would have it no other way than to go get him! He looked so pitiful when I picked him up. He is still sick now. He finally quit throwing up but he has a terrible cold and bad cough. I hate it when my baby is sick. I feel so helpless. Lets hope he gets to feeling better soon!

Now for the tomatoes!!! Blayne and his Pop planted some tomatoes in our back yard a while back and we finally have some!! They are so cute and Blayne is so proud!! I hate tomatoes so I guess my dad will be enjoying them for us!!!! Well this is our past couple of weeks in a nutshell! Hope you all are having a good week. May god bless you all! Lots of love!

To Infinity and BEEEEELOND!!!!!!!!!

As you can see Blayne loves his Buzz Lightyear costume!! He wears frequently.....he honestly believes he can fly in this thing! It is hilarious!! After getting his costume for Halloween it got my mind rolling about how Jamey and I could dress up with him! WELL.......my dear friend Adrienne tossed the idea to me about Jamey being Woody and me dressing up as Jesse! It was the funniest thing ever....makes my day just thinking about it. Blayne is going to love it!

Beach Trip 2009

Our beach trip was WONDERFUL! I couldn't have ask for a better week. We had all our closest family with us and it was great. We had great weather, a few rain showers in the morning, but it turned pretty everyday by 10. Blayne LOVES the beach, the ocean, and the pool! He was in heaven for a solid week!! He learned to jump in the pool by himself and go under water. That was his favorite accomplishment of the week, he showed everyone how he would shut his mouth and close his eyes before going under. It was so funny. He made lots of friends at the pool. One little girl named Annie was his favorite. They kissed on each other all week! It was so precious. Kids are so loving and playful. Needless to say I wasn't ready to come back to work, but I guess it is a must! I could write a book about our week in PC, but I just hit the high points for you. I have posted some pics that should sum up the week for you!! Love you all! God Bless!!
